Certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine,
Dr. Rivera began his medical career in cardiovascular research at New York University before completing his
internal medicine residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New Jersey. He has broad experience in
primary care and hospital medicine, including service to underserved communities in El Paso, Texas.
Since relocating to Illinois in 2017, he has continued inpatient and outpatient care and, under the mentorship
of Dr. Harold Jaimes, expanded his expertise in chronic venous insufficiency.
He is also certified in vascular ultrasound (RPhS) and remains dedicated to providing high-quality,
patient-centered venous care.
